Why Ramdev failed miserably in his aandolan?

I was thinking about the mistakes committed by Ramdev in his agitation against black money in India. There are many loopholes which I found in his entire satyagrah campaign. I am sharing it with you all what I felt about this satyagrah and what are my conclusions toawards the whole episode of events which have taken place.

Ramdev was unknown person for Indian masses about a decade ago but he came to limelight when he started giving free Yoga classes firstly in Haridwar and later in other parts of india. Astha Channel has given him such a mass appeal which no other Yoga guru enjoyed in India earlier. Later after gaining popularity his classes became chargeable not free. It should be worth noting that no fees is less than thousands of rupees. His popularity grew day by day so his ambitions. He made his intention clear when he announced his plan that he’ll fight next election and why should’nt he when he has billions of rupees lying in his trusts. He supported Anna Hazaare initially but later he came to the conclusion that he wanted do his own satyagrah as he is not getting enough limelight which he usually gets in normal circumstances.

He tried to demonstrate his capacity of crowd gathering rather than focussing on the issue of corruption. The amount of preparation like making a big pandal and making statement like over a crore people will participate in satyagrah showed his arrogance which aroused due to the number of followers he has.

He carried on his satyagrah then also when he already made a deal with government. He kept his supporters in dark about it .He was uneasy and unable to answer the questions when people asked about this deal with Government. He said he wouldn’t talk to Kapil Sibbal all his life but haven’t answered why he has given in written about the deal to government.

When government tried to crack the andolan by police force then instead of facing them from the forefront he hid himself among women supporters and later ran away in women’s clothes. When he appeared in Haridwar he cried like a child which is not acceptable behaviour of a leader who is supposed to lead millions of people who are with him to get this country rid of black money.

Later when he found himself safe in BJP ruled state then he tried to show his manliness which normally comes forth when a person gets supporting and favourable environment that he will make an army of 11000 thousand people whom he will teach shastra and shastra both. What a rubbish and childish statement. He is going to fight Govt.of india with 11000 force ? It shows his ignorance towards the reality and seriousness of the issue he raised. India is military power in the world and he is going to fight with 11000 people. Such a laughable and stupid statement has made me think about his ability to lead a movement like this.

I find him a person who had never in his wildest dreams thought about the wealth and followers which he has now. This has aroused his ambition to be a king or king maker but in reality he is an ignorant 8th standard pass out who has no idea of reality. Question to ask with ourselves do we need a leader like him?
